Both of our boys in their younger days were Boy Scouts and both achieved the rank of Eagle Scout while they were in high school in Virginia. So not to be outdone I decided to work on my Eagle Scout equivalent, namely the NMRA Master Model Railroader certificate.
On June 16, 2025 I was notified by my Sunshine Region Achievement Program chairman that the NMRA had certified me as Master Model Railroader # 796., and on July 4, 2025 I received offcial notification from the Achievement Program chairman at the National Model Railroad Association that I was indeed MMR #796.
